Schools Reinventing Treviso: Students Design the City in Minecraft | H-FARM

With our support, students from schools across Treviso built their visions of a sustainable future city using Minecraft Education.  

“Schools Reinventing Treviso”: Students Design a Sustainable City on Minecraft EducationThe city of Treviso, winner of the European Green Leaf Award 2025, launched a project inviting elementary, middle, and high school students to design sustainable urban spaces.Our role? We trained teachers to use Minecraft Education, a school-friendly version of the game that provides a learning experience through play.Students presented their projects at a Demo Night in May 2025 and the winners joined H-ACK Kids, our hackathon for kids and teens, where they further developed their ideas with a startup approach.H-FARM and the Educational Value of MinecraftNot only do we offer an international school, a university, and a business school, but since 2011, we’ve organized courses and workshops where children and teens explore their passions and learn new skills, combining technology, sports, and English.Minecraft Education is one of our favorite educational tools because it allows us to:Introduce students to computational thinking and coding;Explore real-world challenges in an engaging way;Strengthen skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and empathy.
