Students Sebastiano Siorpaes and Filiberto Vignaga turned exam project MooNitoring into a startup that uses herd-health data for smarter insurance for dairy farmers.
From Classroom Idea to Insurance StartupMooNitoring was born almost by accident as an exam project by two H-FARM College students from the BSc in Digital Economics & Finance, Sebastiano Siorpaes and Filiberto Vignaga, who wanted to surprise their professor with an idea no one else in class would think of. In under 3 months, with support from our Startup Center, that “what if?” became an MVP: a platform for dairy farmers that links herd-health and farm-management data with parametric insurance, so claims can be triggered faster and based on what really happens in the barn.
