A Startup Improving Waste ManagementIt all started at H-FARM College: Filippo Casellato and Sebastiano Felicetti, former students of the BA in Digital Management, teamed up with co-founders Umberto Bolzoni and Leonardo Callegarini and won the university competition Red Bull Basement Italy 2021 with an idea that brings together technology and sustainability.Their AI-powered smart bin, called MIDA, uses advanced sensors to recognize and sort any type of waste. Designed for high-traffic areas like airports, train stations, malls, and school campuses, it helps reduce human error and lower disposal costs for organizations.
