CLUB Artificial Intelligence March 13, 2024: Innovations in AI | H-FARM

Our event on artificial intelligence: AI for business with Microsoft, Vision Pro, AI and memory, coding, and more.

Join our Innovation Communities CLUB is our format of communities of students, entrepreneurs, and innovation enthusiasts who meet at our Campus in Veneto to exchange ideas, share their passion for technology and innovation, and inspire new projects. Watch the event   Artificial Intelligence, from Spatial Computing with Vision Pro to AI Assistants On March 13, 2024, we explored the evolution and impact of AI technologies for work and creativity and how to improve business strategies and processes together with artificial intelligence experts. Diego Pizzocaro, CMO of ForceManager, co-creator of OpenAccessGPT, instructor at H-FARM College, and our former startup founder, presented some of the most interesting developments, including: The rivals of GPT-4: Mistral Large, Gemini 1.5 Pro, Claude, Inflection, Grok GPT-4 is recognized as the industry benchmark, at least from a commercial standpoint. However, other Large Language Models are emerging that begin to challenge OpenAI's dominance: all these have surpassed or matched GPT-4 in some measurements. To the list of rivals, Grok is also added, the artificial intelligence model by Elon Musk's xAI, which will soon become open source. Sora, the OpenAI tool that creates high-quality videos Sora appears to be one of the most extraordinary AI tools: it is capable of creating hyper-realistic videos from text prompts. It is expected to be available to everyone by the end of 2024 and will also generate audio. On-Device AI and AI chips to revolutionize humanoid robots AI chips enable data processing on any smart device—from smartphones to smartwatches, from home automation to cameras—in a process known as Edge AI. On-Device AI systems operate without the need for an Internet connection, ensuring greater privacy and data security and are opening doors to major innovations in robotics as well. Devin, the world's first AI software engineer Unlike AI applications that already assist in writing code, Devin writes, develops, and creates software with a single command, in a chatbot style, complementing rather than replacing human engineers. AI Act, the European Union approves the world's first artificial intelligence law This act outlines requirements and obligations that AI developers and operators must follow, based on potential risks and impact levels. It will come into force in 2026, setting a global standard. AI for Business: Microsoft Copilot Andrea Benedetti, Senior Cloud Solution Architect (Data & AI) at Microsoft Italy, presented Microsoft Copilot, the collaborative writing virtual assistant that uses artificial intelligence to improve work, professionals, and students and increase efficiency. Together with Microsoft and H-FARM College, we offer a three-year bachelor's degree in English in AI & Data Science to acquire the artificial intelligence skills demanded by the market. Starting in September 2024, this degree allows students to connect with Europe's top AI professionals and participate in company work experiences. Open Source AI for Coding: Cheshire Cat Piero Savastano is one of the most influential software developers, particularly recognized for his contributions to the open source ecosystem. He founded Cheshire Cat, an open-source framework that simplifies the development of AI applications and assistants: it allows for the creation of intelligent agents that perform specific tasks, improving user interaction and data processing. It is highly customizable and integrable with various large language models, both proprietary and open source. AI and Memory: What Happens to an Artificial Intelligence That Remembers Nunzio Fiore is the founder and CEO of Memori, an Italian startup specializing in technologies applied to the memory experience in AI. Memori has developed AISURU, a platform that allows individuals and especially companies to build their own transparent and fully customized artificial intelligence based on their languages, documentation, links, and historical data. Apple Vision Pro and Spatial Computing Marco Savini, founder of BigRock School, our school of computer graphics, digital art, and coding, illustrated the incredible potential of Apple Vision Pro and Spatial Computing on a variety of sectors and industries.  From remote collaboration to immersive training and learning, from realistic simulations in healthcare to art creation, Spatial Computing seamlessly integrates digital content into our real-world surroundings, through sophisticated display technology, environmental scanning cameras and sensors, various user interaction methods, and advanced graphics rendering techniques.
