CLUB Artificial Intelligence: a quantum leap into the future | H-FARM
Discover the mind-bending innovations that we experienced in the U.S. and are already doing on Campus.
Our CLUBs are communities of enthusiasts of key innovation topics: students, entrepreneurs, and professionals who gather on Campus to share entrepreneurial experiences and food for thought, and, why not, inspire the launch of new projects.On a special edition held on Dec. 4, we deep dived into the latest tech and new inspirations from tech giants, thanks to some of our farmers who got hands-on with these innovations and visited Apple's headquarters:Riccardo Donadon, our founder and CEO;Diego Pizzocaro, former startupper of one of our acceleration programs, CMO of ForceManager, co-creator of OpenAccessGPT, and professor at H-FARM College; Marco Savini, founder and CEO of BigRock School. We work every day with AI to revolutionize our approach to education, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Here are some of our initiatives:
our CLUB events are dedicated to key innovation and future themes, in particular those dedicated to AI, robotics, Web3, Crypto & NFTs, and the Metaverse;
we are a partner of the AI L.A.B., Microsoft's Generative AI program;
in H-FARM College, we have several programs and activities dedicated to exponential technologies, such as three-year bachelor's degrees in AI & Data Science and Technology Management with Cybersecurity, the Executive Course in Emerging Technologies in Business, and some of the Enhancing Courses, extracurricular courses that help develop the most in-demand skills, which are dedicated to the most advanced technologies and scenarios. We are also launching a corporate learning course on Generative AI in Business;
in the BigSchools, we offer a Master in Coding to learn how to apply machine learning, deep learning, robotics, and XR technologies, and a Master in Cybersecurity to implement security strategies thanks to AI and other advanced technologies;
in H-FARM International School, we regularly use VR and various AI tools to support teaching and student projects. Some examples? We have made our VR learning experiences available to GoStudent and organized a Creative AI Bootcamp in which our youngest students showed extraordinary talent;
our Startup Center supports numerous AI projects, including those of our students – including the Creative AI Bootcamp –, operationally integrates AI tools in the management of requests and investment activities, and supports Gruppo Cassa Depositi e Prestiti in the management of FuturED, an acceleration program for AI in education;
and much more, which we tell you here.
Diego Pizzocaro: "We are all developers"
Diego was invited to attend the first OpenAI DevDay in San Francisco. Together with him, many professionals working in education: OpenAI greatly believes in the value of AI applied to education.
Some of the insights he shared are related to GPT4 still being the most intelligent and advanced large language model. Is it more intelligent than humans? Not yet, but the latest applications are exciting:
GPTs, mini virtual assistants that each of us can create using prompts, without the need to know any coding;
GPT-4 Turbo, an enhanced version of GPT-4 for text analysis and text and image understanding;
the possibility for ChatGPT Enterprise customers to create internal GPTs trained on a company's data;
DALL-E 3, the new version of its image generation model,
a GPT-Store is coming soon;
a new API called Assistants that allows developers to create "agent-like experiences" in their apps.
Marco Savini: "What artists used to do in hours, they can now do in minutes"
AI was born in the 1970s. For 60 years, (almost) nothing happened, but since 2020, there has been an explosion of AI technologies.
BigRock, our vocational school specialized in computer graphics, digital design, video games, music for entertainment, and coding, is working first-hand on leveraging AI to support the creative work of students and teachers. It even has a special team, the Avengers Team, experimenting with AI – without ever replacing human creativity.
Other super interesting applications that Marco showed include:
Adobe has already integrated Generative AI tools for photos and videos;
Roblox allows you to generate the code that develop a video game;
Uizard is an AI-powered UX/UI design tool that creates a website in minutes;
Stable Diffusion to generates new rendering ideas;
workflow automation softwares like Zapier to create beautiful artwork to publish on Instagram or wherever you like.
Our students and their AI-powered projects
In a remarkable display of creativity and innovation, a group of 15-year-old students from H-FARM International School Venice and Vicenza took part in an AI bootcamp, where they delved into the world of artificial intelligence to create amazing works of art, guided by our mentors.
Take a look at what they did and watch the short film created by two of them. Amazing, right?
