AI takes center stage: math exam is a challenge with ChatGPT | H-FARM

We are at the forefront with the goal of creating a European ecosystem of excellence in this field.

100 students in the Mathematics for Business course at H-FARM College, held by professor Nicola Mazzari, took on a challenge by solving a series of algebraic problems with ChatGPT. This was not a shortcut, but a real challenge proposed by the teacher to make artificial intelligence a tool for training, comparison, and growth.

Prof. Mazzari tells us how he uses AI in College

One of the goals of my course is to teach students the scientific method and the tools of algebra and mathematical analysis. I have my students use ChatGPT to start dialectical reasoning processes, learn to use these technologies in a conscious way, and experiment with how the responses change depending on the interaction modes and personal deepening skills. Once this "gymnastics" is done, I intervene to clarify any doubts.
According to the report "Gen-AI: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Work" by the International Monetary Fund, in advanced economies
Half of these jobs will be upgraded, increasing competitiveness, the other half is destined to disappear. In the face of this scenario, it is necessary to have the skills to interpret and manage the innovations that are revolutionizing all sectors and creating opportunities that seemed impossible a few years ago. Every day we work with these technologies to create new horizons for education, entrepreneurship, and innovation, integrating AI into our school and university programs. Starting with the H-FARM International School programs, where students experiment with new programming languages, up to the higher education of H-FARM College, which, for the next academic year, also offers two three-year degrees in AI & Data Science and Technology Management with Cybersecurity. The goal is to provide a coherent response to the growing demand for AI, big data, and digitalization experts with transversal skills and solid economic foundations. In addition, through the Startup Center, which since the start of our history has represented the heart of our research and innovation, we support an ever-growing number of AI-focused startups, such as: E-Trash, a smart system that uses AI to improve sustainable waste management and automate waste collection in companies; KeyBrain, an online platform that improves job satisfaction and prevents turnover, integrating AI to provide 24/7 support in times of crisis, create personalized paths, and measure results; Easy W-AI, an AI-guided travel companion that creates personalized and dynamic itineraries in no time.
