CASSINI Hackathon 2025: We’re the Only Organizer in Italy | H-FARM
Our space-themed H-ACKs are back! From November 7 to 9, we used European space data to build consumer solutions for gaming, sports, and travel.
10th Cassini Hackathon – Italy in H-FARMAfter H-ACK NASA 2024, our hackathon format dedicated to space came back! From November 7 to 9, 2025 we gathered at our campus near Venice to rethink the consumer experience related to one of these 3 challenges:GAMING – Making gameplay more engaging and immersiveSPORTS – Optimizing athletes’ performance and analysis, while reducing risksTRAVEL – Improving travel experiences, with a focus on sustainability
Now at its 10th edition, this hackathon was organized by the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA), part of the CASSINI Hackathons & Mentoring project, which makes available data from systems such as Copernicus, EGNOS, Galileo to develop solutions useful on Earth.
Winners & Prizes🪂 GlideBuddyAR glasses that show real-time winds, reachable landing zones, and no-fly areas for safer paragliding.⛰️ SharpAIAn AI platform that helps mountaineers and climbers assess risk in real time during ascents. ⇨ Team of H-FARM College alumni, also winners of H-ACK NASA 2024 👏✈️ TRAKIOSAn app that uses gamification and digital tokens to redirect tourist flows from overcrowded areas to lesser-known destinations.For the Italian edition, winners received LEGO Over the Moon with Pharrell Williams sets, Milan Games Week tickets, and H-FARM goodies.On November 12, they’ll compete in the European final for:1st place: €5,0002nd place: €3,0003rd place: €1,000plus 6 months of dedicated mentoring with EUSPA experts.
